Amazon to buy 5% stake in Shoppers Stop for ₹179 crore, or ₹408 per share. This values Shoppers Stop at roughly ₹3600 crore.

Shoppers Stop is India’s foremost fashion retailer offering leading international and national brands across apparel, accessories, fragrances, cosmetics, home decor and footwear.
The retail store offers more than 400 of the finest brands such as CK Jeans, Tommy Hilfiger, Gas, United Colors of Benetton, French Connection, Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Guess, etc. as well as popular private brands Kashish, Stop, Haute Curry, Life, and Vettorio Fratini.
As of FY17, Shoppers Stop has 80 stores in 38 cities in India and has 4.7 million loyal customers.
HomeStop is a premium home concept store that offers an enormous variety of products across all categories in the home segment including home adornments, bed and bath, kitchen appliances and accessories, home storage, and much more aimed at transforming homes. As of FY17, HomeStop has 16 stores across 11 cities in India.
Shoppers Stop has been instrumental in bringing the world’s foremost beauty, skincare and cosmetic brands to India including Estée Lauder, M.A.C, Bobbi Brown and Clinique, amongst many others.
HyperCITY has 19 stores and has 1.3 million loyal members.

Airport Retailing: In association with The Nuance Group AG, Switzerland, Shopper Stop operates a duty free store at the International airport in Bengaluru.
Shoppers Stop Ltd. has 48.42% stake in TimeZone Entertainment Private Limited and currently has 25 operational doors.
Amazon has entered into a long-term partnership with Shoppers Stop. Amazon has linked its back-end with four mother warehouses of Shoppers Stop. Shoppers Stop will host an Amazon.in experience centre in all of its stores.
Shoppers Stop won the “Emerging Market Retailer of the Year Award” at Barcelona.
