If you buy good companies, run by good people, buy them over time at a fair price, you are going to do fine 10, 20, 30 years from now.
If you are trying to buy and sell stocks, and worry when they go down a little bit and think you should sell them when they go up, you are not going to have very good results.
The money is made by owning good companies for long periods of time.
You would look to the earnings and dividends over the years as determining whether you made a good investment or not.
Do not watch the market closely.
